Economists believe the 2012 spring home-selling season, which may have started early due to unseasonably mild weather, could be the best in years. The National Association of Realtors reports that existing-home sales in February were up 9 percent from the same time a year ago, as was its index of signed home sale contracts; and Realtors’ confidence in the single-family home market has risen to the highest level in four years.
