Most Real Estate Professionals Recommend Clients List Their Homes During the Holidays

A recent survey shows that 60 percent of Realtors encourage sellers to list their homes during the holidays because it is a good time to sell, while another 30 percent recommend listing during the holidays if the seller is motivated. Of those polled, 79 percent say buyers house-hunting during the holidays are more serious. Meanwhile, 61 percent believe sellers benefit from less competition. However, 63 percent say it can be difficult to keep homes clean and ready for showings during the holiday season, with 39 percent blaming winter weather and another 39 percent blaming vacations and celebrations.
