Buyers want convenience, livability, and energy efficiency in a single-family house this year, according to home builders. According to the National Association of Home Builders, the features most likely to be included in a typical home this year are a walk-in closet in the master bedroom, low thermal emissivity windows, a laundry room, and a great room. Energy Star-rated appliances, programmable thermostats, and Energy Star-rated windows are popular among the energy-efficiency features.
