U.S. consumers increasingly are incorporating outdoor living spaces into their residential design, according to a recent poll by the American Society of Landscape Architects. Based on responses from 166 industry professionals, homeowners are showing a preference for low-maintenance and sustainably designed outdoor space. The coming year will see an emphasis on outdoor fireplaces, fire pits, outdoor lighting, and outdoor dining areas.
