The National Association of Home Builders/Wells Fargo index of industry confidence for April reflects a rosy outlook for the spring sales season. Any score above 50 denotes favorable sentiment among builders, and the gauge moved up four points this month to 56. Builders are more optimistic about the prospect of single-family sales over the next six months, with this reading climbing to its highest level since the end of last year.
