Homes with professional interior photos sell much faster than listings with normal photos, according to a new study from VHT Studios, one of the largest real estate photography firms in the country. VHT analyzed all home sales in the Chicago area in 2013, comparing each property’s days on market (DOM), irrespective of the price range. The results reveal that listings with professional photographic images sold 32 percent faster than others. Agents were able to cut the DOM by about five weeks when they used professional photography. Listings with professional photography sat for an average of 85 days on the market, compared to 123 days for listings with normal photos. “This analysis shows that professional real estate photographs are not just for mansions and estates,” VHT Studies CEO Brian Balduf said. Highly experienced and successful agents tend to use professional photography the most, he added. | Read More
